The Mission of Second Baptist Church is to seek and save the lost; Minister to the needs and hopes of the total community; and provide opportunities for authentic expressive worship by educating, encouraging, and exalting one another in Christian love.

Our Vision

Second Baptist Church is a Christ-centered and Biblically-based body of baptized believers fulfilling the Great Commission.

Reverend Leo D. Cyrus, Sr.

Pastor - Teacher

Reverend Leo D. Cyrus, Sr. is the Pastor of Second Baptist Church and New Hope Baptist Church. He is survived by his late wife Deloris Morris Cyrus; to that union they have three sons, Leo Jr., Michael, and Kevin. He is also the proud grandparents of seven grandchildren.
